Yahoo! Employee Foundation Grants $5,000 to .LRN

The .LRN Consortium is pleased to announce a $5,000 award from the
Yahoo! Employee Foundation [1: 'Yahoo! Employee Foundation'] (via the
Silicon Valley Community Foundation) for continuation of the Zen
Accessibility Project.

The focus of the work will be on adding dynamic yet accessible UI
elements into .LRN and making .LRN more accessible using WCAG [2:
'WCAG'] recommendations. As part of this work, the Forums package will
be used as a model for continued work on accessibility in .LRN.

The Yahoo! Employee Foundation (YEF) is a unique grassroots employee
driven philanthropic organization. All the money is donated by
employees, and all activities are run by a volunteer committee of
Yahoo! employees.

We would like to thank Yahoo! employee Stephen Boettcher for
championing this grant.

Our server for translations is up again. We recently have moved this
service to the same machine where openacs.org is running. If you still
don't have an account there and want to helps us to translate the
toolkit to your language, feel free to request one ( Simply go to the
translation server [1]and follow the link for registration ). Many
thanks to both Galileo University, who was hosting this service in the
past, and the Institute for Information Systems and New Media at the
